Piggy And the Brain

December 15th, 2005 by fipink

Hehe…today’s topic is about pig. According to what I’d founded from my collection of Children’s Britannica, pigs are ungulates native to Eurasia collectively grouped under the genus Sus within the Suidae family.(Wow… scientific classification now I realized. I think my parents wanted me to become scientist mPighenry_1ore than just a science teacher)

Pigs are omnivores. On a small farm or in a large household, they can be fed kitchen scraps as part or all of their diet. In the wild, they are foraging animals. Because of their foraging abilities and excellent sense of smell, they are actually used to find truffles in many European countries. Do you guys know that pigs are one of the most intelligent mammals? And some, such as the Asian pot-bellied pig are kept as pet. They are even more trainable than dogs and cats. Haha…imagine you ‘pig-walk’ your pet in the neighbourhood, and playing frisbee with your pet, and bring it to your duck-hunt…so kewl!! Pigs skin are fragile and delicate, so they use mud as a form of sunscreen to protect their skin from sunburn. This must be why they always are looking rosy pink.

And I’ve come across some cultural references to pigs. Such as both Islam and Judaism forbid the eating of pork, considering it to be an unclean animal. In ancient Greece, a sow was an appropriate sacrifice to Demeter and had been her favorite animal since she had been the Great Goddess of archaic times. Initiates at the Eleusinian Mysteries began by sacrificing a pig. The pig is one of the 12-year cycle of animals which appear in the Chinese zodiac related to the Chinese calendar.

There are a lot of unflattering references and idioms involving pigs in many languages. Pigs are usually associated with lazy, stupid, obesity and greed. For your information, pig is also used as derogatory slang term for a police officer in many languages. So please obey if the pigs force you to do the ear-squat because the pigs are the most intelligent, but lazy, stupid and greedy mammals.

Piggy Jokes II

A man was driving down the road in the country. He looked over and saw a baby pig in the field. He stopped and picked up the pig. He was driving around town with the pig in the car and a cop sees him and pulls him over. Cop says "Hey, What are you doing with that pig in the car?", driver says "Well, I just found the pig beside the road in the field.", cop says" I want you to take that pig to the zoo!" the driver agrees he will take the pig to the zoo.

So the next day the cop sees the guy driving around again and pulls him over. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?I THOUGHT I TOLD YOU TO TAKE THAT PIG TO THE ZOO!!" reply, "Well I did take the pig to the zoo. We had such a good time we are going to the ball game now."

Piggy Jokes

December 15th, 2005 by fipink

Once upon a time, there were 3 little pigs. The straw pig, the
stick pig, and the brick pig.  One day this nasty old wolf came up
to the straw pig’s house and said, "I’m gonna huff and puff, and
blow your house down."
  So he did!
The straw pig went running over to the stick pig’s house and said,
"Let me in, please, the wolf just blew down my house!!"
The stick pig let the straw pig in. Then the wolf showed up and
said, "I’m gonna huff and puff, and blow your house down!"
  And he did!
So, the straw pig and the stick pig went running over to the brick
pig’s house and said, "Let us in! The wolf just blew down our houses
and we’re scared!"
So the brick pig let them in. The wolf caught up with them and
said, "I’m gonna huff and puff, and blow your house down."
While he was huffing and puffing, the straw pig and the stick pig
were so scared!  But the brick pig picked up the phone and called a
friend. A few minutes passed and all of a sudden this big, black
stretch limousine drove up. Out came two massive pigs in pinstriped
suits and fedoras. These huge pigs came over to the wolf and grabbed
him by the neck and proceeded to beat the crap out of him. One of
them pulled out a gun and fired into the wolf’s mouth. Then they got
back into their limo and drove off, leaving the wolf dead on the
street.
The straw pig and the stick pig were amazed! They asked the brick
pig, "Who the hell were those guys?"
And the brick pig said, "Oh, those are my cousins, the Guinea Pigs."

And Your Idol Is…. Daniel!!

September 27th, 2005 by fipink

Hehe…tonight  I feel a sudden of urge to write about Malaysian Idol 2 which has just ended over the weekend. And like I said Daniel, the small guy from Kedah had wooed the crowd and was crowned the 2nd Msian Idol after Jac Victor. I’m neither Daniel’s supporter nor Nita’s …but I’m not ashamed telling you guys that I voted him 5 times both the Top 3 and the Grand Finale. Why did I vote for Daniel then? It’s merely because we already have a club singer as Msian Idol and why another!! Malaysians, don’t be so boring!!

Undoubtedly, Nita performed amazingly well during the Grand Finale despite of her bad comments from the judges in the previous spectaculars. Her performance was incredible with her powerful voice and her intriguing appearance. And she even made Daniel’s performance rather pale in comparison. However, I think it’d be boring if she won. No drama. No fun. No excitement (like last year’s Msian Idol 1, everyone knew that Jac would win since the day she sang in the first spectacular). Ok, look…she made it good because she is an experienced club singer whom has been singing like for 7 years. She’s a veteran. So, why not let the novice win? Furthermore, Daniel wasn’t bad at all!! He had never been to the bottom 2 or 3 during the spectaculars. He sings well, dances well. He is young and fun. Isn’t it should be called an idol?

Another thing I wanna talk here is about Jien’s (the handsome host) making fun of Daniel’s 22-inch waist. Jien, don’t be silly…telling the world about how tiny Daniel is wouldn’t make his fans vote less for him. And so Roslan’s comment about Nita which sounded something like "Tell me one reason why Nita can’t be the next Msian Idol?" And funny is that Daniel’s fans has told him by the numerous votes.

And if there’s Msian Idol 3, I wish there’s something like we sms to ‘devote’ someone instead of voting someone…haha..like teachers do in school, ‘merit’ and ‘demerit’….it would be even more fun!!

Updates for August

August 30th, 2005 by fipink

Wow! It’s been month I didn’t write a word in my blog. It’s close to the end of August. OK, let me recall back what I did for the past 4 weeks. I worked hard on the first week, then I spent the rest of the month in Pangkor Island. Need not to check the academic calender, it was no holiday. I was there in Pangkor for a 3-week long course organized by Jabatan Pendidikan Perak with another 89 teachers from all over the state. No sun-bathing, no wind-surfing, no sea-diving, no skinny-dipping. But only lectures, assignments, projects, examinations and 6 meals daily. It was fun despite of the works we were loaded with. And I learned a lot. And I made a lot of friends, and an enemy (Don’t ask me why! Though I’ve heard thousands times of an old cliche, which sounds "Thousands of friends are considered few, one enemy is too many"). And I won a volleyball competition.

August, a good month, worth to be celebrated. Life continues to look rosy for me. No complicated predicament. I’m still alive with good health, so do my beloved family, friends and my most dearest boyfriend. But one thing rather bothering me, is my best friend who is in trouble. I hope for the best for her, and hope that her life will be back on track very soon. And to let her know that no matter what happens, she still has our love and support, even behind the scenes.

Visit this page http://www.logogle.com/ if you wanna have your own google logo. It’s cute and fun! And it can be a little present as well! For instance, if you wanna impress your loved ones or if you wanna wish someone on certain occasion, you can simply put on a few romantic words or greetings  and send it him. It’s cheap and lovely!

I’m not a student…not yet a principal

July 21st, 2005 by fipink

Recently I’ve been receiving messages suggesting me to quit studying, stop doing school works or something. At first I was quizzical…I was thinking why do these people think that I’m still in school studying? Why didn’t they check out my profile before or after they read my blog? Then it hit me! I happened to realize that people might have been misled by my line in my previous blog "Lady Bug" which reads "usually I will read either books or magazines or do some school works while watching tv"!

Alright…so I think I would have to announce to you, you, you and you that I’m no longer a student, I graduated 2 years ago…and have been working since then. AND WHY DO I DO SCHOOL WORKS? Think about it, friend. Besides school kids, who do school works? Teachers-lah!!

Lady Bug

July 13th, 2005 by fipink

I’ve been infected by lazy bugs… I have not done much things lately. It seems like I don’t have the mood to do anything. I don’t even feel like watching tv at night like what I usually do, TVB dramas, CSI, Oprah and the newly showed Desperate Housewives…don’t interest me anymore. Usually I will read either books or magazines or do some school works while watching tv, however lately the only thing I do after having my dinner (I don’t even cook my dinner now) is just laze around and watch the ceiling. Yeah… that’s the thing I’ve been doing lately……..It’s just so not me. What happen?? Am I really sick with lazy bugs??

And all the books I’ve bought…Chinese, English, fiction, non-fiction, romance, thrillers… all are still nicely wrapped in see-through wrapping paper. I do read these few weeks, but in a very slow pace. Even world’s bestseller "The Da Vinci Code" which excites almost every single soul whom has read it doesn’t make me lift my fingers (I’ve only reached the 179th page since I started it 3 weeks ago, unlike my bf whom was so thrilled that he finished the book less than 24 hours.)And so the origami papers I bought to make paper flowers…haha…of course still are papers instead of flowers. And my blog, so empty and sunyi…I can hear the echoes…And my closet, so messy…And my car, looks like dirty cat…

Does anyone would like to offer me  a debug program?
